Valentine Math Centers
Valentine’s Day will be here before you know it! It seems like it sneaks up on me every year. So many fun things to do and so little time! This year I wanted to make some Valentine fun of my own and created some math center activities for my students to practice some important skills.
Nine activities are included and cover the following skills:
- Addition (2 addends)
- Addition (3 addends)
- Time to the hour and half hour
- Addition and Odd and Even numbers
- Ordering numbers up to 120 (ordering 4 numbers)
- Counting tally marks and comparing numbers using greater than and less than symbols
- Subtraction from 20
- Fact Families
- Doubles and Doubles +1
I plan on having my students complete these activities with a partner. Each will have their own recording sheet but will share the cards needed to complete the activity. These activities require students to draw a card (or two, three, etc.) and record their numbers/answers on the recording sheet. Using the cards makes the practice more engaging than just a simple worksheet or workbook page and it enables every student to create their own worksheet of problems that is different from the other students.
These Valentine themed math centers are available on Teachers Pay Teachers as well as Teachers Notebook and they WILL be on sale on February 3 for the Super Sale! Snatch them up while they’re discounted!
My Teachers Notebook store is 20% off NOW (February 2) – February 3!
